To begin, check the width of your new garage door and your garage door frame. You should find these to be as expected, however if you find any discrepancies we encourage you call and speak to one of our advisors.
We need to make room for your new installation, this is done by removing your old door and frame. When completed, sweep any debris off of your wall and floor to prevent future injury or damage.
Place guide runner into position on the wall if possible, if not measure and mark length required, cut to size making sure the guide runner profile has the flat face (with the ‘F’ mark on it) facing the bricks if a behind fit or facing out of the garage if a between fit.
Place your cut guide runners into position on the wall and mark fixing positions, along the back edge of the guide runner at least 10mm in from the edge but no more than 20mm for a behind fit or going through the opening on a between fit ensuring they are in the middle of a brick and there are a minimum of 3 fixings down each side.
Drill a 7mm hole all the way through each fixing point where you have marked. Then drill a 10mm through only the top layer of the guide runner to allow your fixing screw to go through.
Peel off protective film on runners and top box. Insert guide runners onto the main body of the door making sure the plastic guide’s are still inserted in the head plate stem and lift the door into position, checking the top box and both guide runners are level and square.
While holding the door in position drill a 7mm hole through the top fixing on both sides of the door, put brown raw plug into hole and secure in place with gold screw.
Check guide runners are level and square then drill and fix the other holes to secure door to the wall. Push in screw covers.
With the door frame now in place fix the receiver box to the wall by placing box on wall and mark the holes making sure box is level, drill 5.5mm holes in wall insert Red raw plug then fix with smaller gold screws. The system is already wired, however if you need to trim or extend wire re-wire as below. Secure wires using cable clips supplied.
Guide the door curtain over the top of barrel and into the guide runners. (You may want to put something over the barrel to protect the back of the door)
